The Town of Hope Mills is seeking to remove and replace the deck boards on the Pedestrian Bridge that crosses the Hope Mills Dam spill way. The bridge is located adjacent to the vehicular bridge on Lakeview Rd. The Scope of Work includes the installation, permits (when required), and all materials to ensure that each board is properly fit into place, and is ADA compliant. Each board is required to be 3" x 8" Southern Yellow Pine. The deck material shall be treated with chromated copper Arsenate (CCA) or Alkaline Copper Quantenary (ACQ) to a 0.4 PCF Retention or to Refusal. Copy of original drawings and specifications available upon request. Contractor will relocate the electrical power box on the Main Street side of the bridge from the Hollow Structural Steel upright to the concrete abutment. The contractor will also seal the screw holes to prevent water infiltration and touch up paint with a matching or comparable product.
