Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newton, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Reconstruct S 12th Ave W from Hwy #14 to W 18th St S. This is a complete reconstruction project of approximately 1-1/2 blocks of PCC paving. This is one of the major entrances into the City of Newton. This pavement is beyond its useful life and is in need of replacement, this would be consistent with the city’s comprehensive plan of improving the appearance of the city of Newton’s entryways. This project is included in the city’s FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of August 28, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
