The current bridge at Canyon Glen Park crossing the Provo River is made from an old rail car that has a span of 78 ft. No information on the bridge structure is available, including important information how it was constructed or the capacity. The bridge has exceed service life and no longer meets the required capacity needs. It is best to remove the existing bridge and replace with a modern structure that meets current levels of service needs and capacities. The Canyon Glen Park bridge will be replaced in FY 2027. This project is included in the city’s 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of November 22, 2024, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
