Consultant is expected to conduct monitoring activities at the BMC a) Review existing annual monitoring reports and sampling procedures, as well as become familiar with the BMC Environmental Compliance Approval. b) Conduct monitoring activities at the BMC. Monitoring consists of sampling surface and groundwater, maintenance of the monitors and dedicated sampling tubes, interpretation of the sampling results and preparation of reports (annually) including any recommendations for program improvement, or any combination of the preceding, including Halton's analysis. c) Final review of annual report to be undertaken by a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Geoscientist (P. Geo) licenced in Ontario. d) Sample analysis will be carried out by a CAEAL/CALA accredited laboratory of the Consultants choosing. A QA/QC (duplicate) water sample during each sample run to an external lab is also required. Cost of lab testing will be borne by the Consultant. e) Provide advice and recommendations on any improvements or observations related to the site monitoring program throughout the contract. f) Immediately advise BMC staff of any missed and/or any "out of the ordinary" test well, monitoring manhole and SWQCP analytical results including sample analyses obtained by Regional staff. g) Conduct a potable water well survey in the year 2030 as outlined in Appendix A. h) Follow Halton's current sampling procedure as outlined in Appendix A. i) Have ready and submit two (2) hard copies and one electronic file of the final Annual Monitoring Report, to BMC staff by January 31 of the following year. Similar to current monitoring report presentation. Question Deadline: Wed Sep 27, 2023 4:00:00 PM (EDT) Duration in months: 108 The Region may require the Contractor to provide either a performance bond in an amount up to one hundred percent (100%) of the total Bid price and a labour and material payment bond in an amount up to fifty percent (50%) of the total Bid price or an unconditional, irrevocable draw down letter of credit in an amount up to one hundred and fifty percent (150%) of the total Bid price The Agreement shall commence on April 1, 2024 and shall continue until March 31, 2027. The Region shall have the option to renew this Agreement for two (2) additional three-year periods based on the same terms and conditions, subject to satisfactory performance to the date of renewal and price negotiations.
