The test well is located in the Stockton Formation (sandstone/shale) in Horsham Township. 2. CONTRACTOR shall remove approximately 60 feet of the previously installed 6-inch casing and bentonite from test borehole and dispose of properly. 3. CONTRACTOR shall ream the borehole from the existing 6-inch diameter to 20 inches in diameter, to a depth of 15 feet. 4. CONTRACTOR shall install 0.375-inch thick, 16-inch diameter steel well casing to depth of 15 feet at top of bedrock within the 20-inch diameter borehole. 5. CONTRACTOR shall ream the borehole from the existing 6-inch diameter to 16 inches in diameter, from the 15-foot depth down to a 60 foot depth. 6. CONTRACTOR shall install 0.330-inch thick, 12-inch diameter steel well casing from 18 inches above ground surface to a depth of 60 feet within the 16-inch diameter borehole. CONTRACTOR shall weld all sections of pipe. 7. CONTRACTOR shall install a drive shoe at the bottom of the 12-inch diameter casing. 8. CONTRACTOR shall install grout in the annular space between each steel well casing and well hole with Portland cement grout. The grouting shall be performed with the use of a Tremie pipe starting from the bottom of the steel casing and continuing to the ground surface. 9. CONTRACTOR shall continue to ream borehole to a diameter of 12 inches below the casing to a depth of 605 feet. 10. CONTRACTOR shall develop each water-producing zone encountered, by surging with compressed air, to clear the zone of sediment and maximize yield. CONTRACTOR shall estimate the well yield at each water-producing zone through visual or quantitative means, depending on flow conditions. 11. CONTRACTOR shall develop test well at the completion of drilling until the water is substantially free of sediment and as directed by ENGINEER. 12. CONTRACTOR shall provide locking sanitary well cap for test well. 13. CONTRACTOR shall install one (1) 15-foot-deep piezometer. The piezometer shall be installed in a 6-inch diameter boring and constructed with 10 feet of 2-inch diameter screened PVC and 7 feet of solid 2-inch diameter PVC including 2-foot stickup. Clean sand shall be installed from depth of 3 feet to 15 feet. A 5-foot section of 4-inch diameter well casing shall be installed from 2 feet above the ground surface to depth of 3 feet below ground surface. 14. CONTRACTOR shall implement erosion and sediment control measures according to PADEP protocol for handling of discharge water during drilling and pumping test. Erosion and sediment control measures shall include, if necessary, excavation of a temporary sump for drilling water and filter bag for discharge of water. B. Pump Testing: 1. CONTRACTOR shall install test pump in one (1) well. Pump shall be installed to depth of 200 feet and shall be capable of pumping 300 gpm with head of 186 feet of water above pump and discharging to ground surface. 2. CONTRACTOR shall install two (2) 190-foot long 3/4"-diameter pipes in the test well for water level monitoring purposes. 3. CONTRACTOR shall provide generator, pressure gauge, ball valve, flow meter, and a sample port at the well head for sampling during the pump test. 4. CONTRACTOR shall provide 200 feet of discharge line and BMP's for E&S Controls. 5. CONTRACTOR shall operate pumping equipment during one (1) 4-hour stepdrawdown test with constant pumping rates of 150, 200, 250, and 300 gallons per minute or as directed by ENGINEER. CONTRACTOR shall remain onsite during stepdrawdown test. 6. CONTRACTOR shall operate pumping equipment during one (1) 72-hour aquifer pumping test at a constant rate of 300 gallons per minute or as directed by ENGINEER. CONTRACTOR shall remain onsite during pumping test. 7.
