Site work and paving for a civil project in Falls Church, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The North Washington Street Multimodal Improvements Project includes sidewalk widening, improved intersection geometry, signal improvements, crosswalks, utility undergrounding, lighting, and landscaping, between Great Falls Street and Gresham Place. This project will reduce congestion by implementing infrastructure for multiple modes of transportation. It will improve regional transportation connections due to its location near the East Falls Church Metro Station, the Route 29 corridor, the W&OD Trail, and I-66. And, it will help with economic growth, safety, and accessibility. As of September 11,2023, project is in the Capital Improvement Plan for FY2024-2029. Project is scheduled for FY2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
