Lump sum 1. The term of this agreement shall be from June 1, 2024 to August 15, 2028 unless soon terminated by either party in accordance with the terms stated herein;
2. The Contractor shall be registered with and be in good standing with the Workers Compensation Board and supply proof of Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance coverage Two Million Dollars minimum;
3. This contract will consist of loading, hauling and depositing approximately 15,000 tonnes of Gravel/Crushed Rock from Graymont Western Canada Inc. and other designated stockpile sites onto Municipal Roads as directed by the Municipality during the period from June 1, 2024 to August 15, 2028. 4.Material for this contract will be obtained from the following locations:
1. Graymont Western Canada Inc. - Location: NE 23-28-10W
2. Moosehorn Stockpile Site - Location: NE 430-26-6 WPM
3. Davis Point Quarry - Location NW 26-31-10W
4. Hartman Construction - Location SE 29-27-7W 5. Russell Redi-Mix - Location NW 6-23-5W
or other designated Municipal Stockpile sites
5.Proposals not conforming to the proposal form may be disqualified.
6. Awarding of the Contract may be subject to inspection of the equipment.
7.Council may reject proposals, waive defects or accept any proposal which
they may consider in the best interests of the Municipality.
8. The Municipality, at its sole discretion shall determine the quality of material to be used;
9. The Contractor shall ensure that equipment is operated in accordance with applicable laws and regulations under the Manitoba Highway Traffic Act and shall be responsible for any damage caused by equipment owned and operated by the Contractor.
10. The Municipality may delay or suspend the work if in its sole discretion road or weather conditions are unfavorable to continue.
11. During the term of this agreement, the Municipality will make payment based upon load sheets signed by the contractor and signed by an authorized employee or RM Councillor for the Municipality. Load Sheets due Monday before council meetings. Gravel sheets not signed will not be eligible for payment. Payments shall be made Friday following Council Meetings 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. The work involves the hauling and depositing of approx. 15,000 Tonnes of Traffic Gravel/Crushed Rock onto various municipal roads in the RM of Grahamdale in Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
The contractor must be registered with and be in good standing with the Workers Compensation Board and provide proof of Liability Insurance – a minimum of Two Million Dollars coverage.
