Site work and paving for a road / highway in Audubon, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of November 3, 2023 this project has been awarded to Landberg Construction for $197,405.80** As of 9/27/23, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on 10/3/23. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Bach Associates, PC, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Said bids shall be addressed to Ms. Danielle Ingves, Borough Clerk, Borough of Audubon, 606 West Nicholson Road, Audubon, New Jersey 08106 Portions of East Pine Street will be resurfaced by means of removal of pavement of the existing roadway as indicated on project plans. Sections of the roadway in need of concrete pavement repair will be excavated to a depth of ten inches (10") and backfilled with four inches (4") of dense graded aggregate base course and six inches (6") of reinforced concrete base course. The roadway will then receive a two inch (2") hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course overlay. In addition to the resurfacing of the existing roadways, there will be partial replacement of driveway aprons, curb, and sidewalk. ADA accessible handicap ramps will be installed in accordance with NJDOT specifications at several locations. Type B inlets within the project scope will be reset to accommodate grade changes and will receive bicycle safe grates and eco-friendly castings. Traffic striping and symbols will be installed as indicated on project plans. Topsoil, fertilizing and seed will be placed at all disturbed areas. East Pine Street will be sawcut to meet seams of the recently paved roadway that does not need to be resurfaced, as indicated on project plans. ADD ALTERNATE BID #1 - E. PINE STREET STA 24+75.76 TO STA 27+41.64 Add Alternate Bid #1 will continue the resurfacing of E. Pine Street in similar fashion to the Base Bid. In addition to the resurfacing of the existing roadway, there will be partial replacement of curb and sidewalk. ADA accessible handicap ramps will be installed in accordance with NJDOT specifications at several locations. A trench drain will be added along E. Pine Street from Wesleyan Road to Barrett Avenue as indicated on project plans. Traffic striping and symbols will be installed as indicated on project plans. Topsoil, fertilizing and seed will be placed at all disturbed areas. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic will not be based on a lump sum basis but will be paid based on unit costs of Breakaway Barricades, Drums, Traffic Cones, and Construction Signs listed in the Contract Documents. The Contractor may elect to utilize additional Traffic Control Devices in addition to those delineated in the Contract Documents; however, the additional Traffic Control Devices will not be measured for payment and will be provided at no expense to the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible to remove excess unwanted materials from the project site and dispose of all excess unwanted materials in an approved manner. Should the Borough of Audubon want any excess material, the material shall be delivered to the Borough's site at no additional charge. Borough of Audubon for the Fy 2022 Njdot Trust Fund, Resurfacing of East Pine Street Phase Ii Project in the Borough of Audubon, Camden County, New Jersey. Bid Forms, Contracts and Specifications Are on File at the Office of Bach Associates, Pc, 304 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, New Jersey 08035. Payment Must Be Received Prior to Obtaining Said Specifications, Either by Mail or in Person. Said Bids Will Be Received at the Borough of Audubon, 606 West Nicholson Road, Audubon, Camden County, New Jersey. No Bids Are to Be Dropped Off at the Engineer's Office. The Borough of Audubon Reserves the Right to Consider the Bids for Sixty (60) Days After the Receipt Thereof, and Further Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Either in Whole or in Part and Also to Waive Any Informality in Any and Make Such Awards or Take Action as May Be in the Best Interest of the Borough of Audubon. Bids Must Be on the Bid Form Prepared by Bach Associates, Pc, in the Manner Designated Therein and Required by the Specifications, Must Be Enclosed in Sealed Envelopes Bearing the Name and Address of the Bidder on the Outside and Also Bearing on the Outside Reference to the Particular Work Bid Upon. Said Bids Shall Be Addressed to Ms. Danielle Ingves, Borough Clerk, Borough of Audubon, 606 West Nicholson Road, Audubon, New Jersey 08106. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Duly Executed by the Bidder as Principal and Having as Surety Thereon a Surety Company Approved by the Borough of Audubon in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00 of the Amount Bid. Any Such Bid Bond Shall Be Without Endorsement or Conditions. Bid Shall Also Be Accompanied by a Certificate Letter From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder With the Completion Bond. The Award of the Contract Shall Be Made Subject to the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Being Provided by the Borough of Audubon in a Lawful Manner. The Contract to Be Executed by the Successful Bidder Will Provide That It Shall Not Become Effective Until the Necessary Moneys to Do the Work Have Been Provided by the Borough of Audubon in a Lawful Manner. The Award Shall Further Be Subjected to the Securing of Necessary State, Federal or Local Permits Governing the Work. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et. Seq. (P.l. 1975, C. 127) and N.j.a.c. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), P.l. 1963, C. 150 and 42 U.s.c. 12101, Et. Seq. (Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990). The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With P.l. 1977, C. 33, and Submit a Disclosure Statement Listing Stockholders With His Bid. The Contractor is Further Notified That He Must Comply With P.l. 1999, C. 238 Public Works Contractor Registration Act and He and Any Subcontractors Must Be Registered in Accordance With the Act. The Contractor is Also Further Notified That He Must Comply With P.l. 2004, C. 57 and Submit Proof of Business Registration and Submit Proof of Business Registration for Any Named Subcontractor's in Accordance With the Act. Sealed Bids for This Project Are Being Solicited Through a Fair and Open Process in Accordance With N.j.s.a. 19:44a-20.5 Et. Seq. This Contract is Subject to the Provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.j.s.a. 40a:11-1, Et. Seq. The Right is Reserved to Reject Any or All Proposals, in Whole or in Part, or to Make Awards to Such Bidder or Bidders Who, in the Judgment of the Borough of Audubon, is the Lowest Responsible Bidder and to Waive Such Informalities as May Be Permitted by Law. Business Entities Are Advised of Their Responsibility to File an Annual Disclosure Statement of Political Contributions With the New Jersey Law Enforcement Commission (Elec) Pursuant to the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 19:44a-20.27 (New Jersey "Pay-to-play" Law) if They Receive Contracts in Excess of $50,000 From Public Entities in a Calendar Year.
