Summary This project is a joint effort between the Weatherization and Home Repair programs for the same residence. joint Residential Weatherization and Home Repair Project - Membrane Roof There will be a bidders' conference for this project. Bidders must bid both portions of the project. Background This contract may not exceed $50,000, including all fees and taxes. The start date of this procurement will be determined by program staff and the winning bidder. Projects are typically completed within 60-90 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed by program staff. Bids for Small/Limited Public Works Roster Advertised projects will ONLY be accepted from contractors who are registered on Pierce County's Small Works Roster Instructions to Bidders For a quote to be valid, a completed Pierce County Quotation and Contract Form and Certification of Compliance with Wage Payment Statutes Form (included in this package) must be received by the County no later than the time and date specified herein or as amended through addendum. Vendor must use the Pierce County Quotation and Contract Form; vendors forms are not acceptable. Additionally, for a quote to be valid, there can be no bidder submitted variations to the Statement of Work or other terms presented in the Request for Quotation package. Any questions bidders have with regard to the Statement of Work must be submitted to the County Point of Contact in writing 48 hours prior to the quotation submission cut-off date and time. Bonds and Retainage A bid bond will not be required for this work. For Public Works contracts less than or equal to $50,000 including tax and purchase services contracts which include services requiring the payment of prevailing wages less than or equal to $50,000 including tax, the County shall waive retainage and bonding but will retain the right of recovery against the Contract for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. Prevailing Wage Information This project requires the payment of prevailing wages per chapter 39.12 RCW. Workers shall receive no less than the prevailing rate of wage for their work on this locally funded project. To find applicable wage rates please follow the following steps: Access the L&I website Look up applicable wages using the project quote due date noted above. This project will be located in Pierce County. If work will be performed outside of Pierce County, please select the county appropriate to the location of work. A copy of prevailing wage rates for this project are available at the Pierce County Procurement & Contract services (PCPC) office for review. A copy may also be mailed to you upon request. Please contact Pierce County Contract Compliance for additional information at (253) 798-7456. Contract Time The notice to proceed will be issued within five (5) to ten (10) calendar days of the execution of the Contract by the County. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and Contractor. All project work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the County. Decription of Residence INTENT OF REPAIR: Remove existing EPDM and insulation. Then install new membrane roof - EPDM/TPO. RESIDENCE TYPE: Double wide mobile home YEAR BUILT: 1969 HOME SQ FT: 1,248 LOCATION: Gig Harbor Question Submission Deadline:October 16, 2023, 2:00pm This contract may not exceed $50,000, including all fees and taxes.
