EBRPSS and the Selection Committee reserve the right to reject any or all The budgeted amount for the construction of the above-referenced project is: Twenty-four million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($24,250,000.00) The East Baton Rouge Parish School System (EBRPSS) and the Baton Rouge Recreation and Parks Commission (BREC) are collaborating on an innovative School-in-the-Park concept that will transform education for approximately 500 Pre-K to fifth-grade students. This visionary project will unfold in phases, gradually creating a blend of educational and recreational spaces within the park. It will seamlessly integrate exterior and interior spaces, fostering traditional academic concepts within a natural setting. Park amenities include passive green spaces with walking/nature paths, sports courts and fields, gardens, and nature-based solutions for flood risk reduction and water quality improvements. The school will house the needed core academic spaces such as classrooms, cafeteria/dining, multi-purpose space, media center, exploratory labs, and administrative spaces. Age-appropriate, inclusive playgrounds will provide not only physical activity but also promote social interaction and creativity.
