The City of Bangor requests bids for the replacement of the roof at the PAL Center located at 10 Watchmaker Street. Industry standards must be followed with all applications and repairs. The project is replacing a section of the roof at the PAL Center. The replacement should include: 1. Removal of all existing roofing materials. 2. Repair/replacement of underlayment as needed. 3. Installation of six (6) feet of ice and water shield and asphalt-saturated roll felt or equivalent over the balance of the deck. Installation of appropriate ice/water shields in valleys. Valleys should be weaved with shingles. 4. Installation of drip edge on all roof edges. 5. Installation of new lifetime warranty shingles appropriate for the project. 6. Removal of all debris and cleaning around the building. Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 P.M., Friday, September 8, 2023. The City will issue a response on or before 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 12. 2023. A tabulation of all bids received will be available on or before 4:30 P.M. on the date of opening The response will be in the form of an addendum, which will be available on the City. Notifications will be sent out at the time of the release of all addenda to the appropriate Registered Vendor List Please indicate in or with your proposal whether you have or are working on a policy regarding domestic violence. If you do not have a domestic violence policy, please indicate whether you would like the City of Bangor to provide you with a copy of its policy as an example The City of Bangor reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or defects in bids or to accept a higher cost bid if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bangor. The City also reserves the right to negotiate with the successful Bidder No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening. All bids shall be subject to acceptance by the City during this period. To withdraw a bid prior to the opening, the Bidder shall request the withdrawal in writing. All costs associated with the withdrawal (i.e. mailing fees) will be borne by the Bidder.
