CMTC Building 1391 Renovation at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas for the Arkansas Department of the Military. A bid security in the amount of 5% shall accompany each bid, if the bid is more than $50,000.00. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the State encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities. The project is a full interior renovation of the building. Work consists of but is not limited to minor alterations of the existing plumbing system including all newfixtures, all new electrical wiring, panels, devices, and light fixtures, newHVACunits and ductwork, new fire alarm system, new drywall, insulation and finishes. New vinyl windows, interior doors, frames, hardware, as well as minor interior framing. There are various exterior improvements such as new steel stairs and railings, new hollow metal doors, power washing exterior siding and tighteningor replacing existing metal roof fasteners, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. A bidder receiving a contract award may retain the bidding documents and the Bidder's deposit will be refunded. Prime bidders may purchase bidding documents through Southern Reprographics or Fort Smith Blueprint.
