Sewer Main Rehabilitation Projects Project #03-23-23 - City Wide Storm Lining Project #04-23-24 - City Wide Sanitary Sewer Lining The work consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 200 feet of 15-inch sewer main using C.I.P.P, 1,510 feet of 12-inch sewer main using C.I.P.P., 928 feet of 10-inch sewer main using C.I.P.P., 2,833 feet of 8-inch sewer main using C.I.P.P., and all appurtenances necessary to complete the sewer main rehabilitation work as shown on the drawings and as specified. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the standard Proposal Form obtainable from the office of the Engineer, with fully executed Non-collusion Affidavit required by the statutes of the State of Indiana. Form 96, Contractors Bid for Public Works, shall accompany all bids as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Marion Utility Service Board, or an acceptable bidder's bond by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana, in an amount of not less than 5% of said bid, said deposit being for the purpose of ensuring the execution of the contract for which said bid is made. The Contractor to whom work is awarded shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, acceptable to the Marion Utility Service Board in the amount of 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his Proposal within a period of 60 days following the date set for receiving Proposals. The Utility Service Board reserves the right to retain any and all Proposals for a period of not more than 90 days, and said Proposals shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Marion Utility Service Board further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder or bidders, all to the advantage of the Marion Utility Service Board, or to reject all Proposals. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered at least five days prior to the receipt of Bids to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding upon the Owner. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
