The Corporation of the City of Mississauga (the City) requires a competent and qualified Bidder for the supply, delivery, and unloading of annuals on an as required basis for plantings in parks for a four (4) year term starting 2024. The City will be looking to place orders for early spring, late spring and winter annual plant material. Bidders must be able to demonstrate that they have the appropriate experience to service an account such as the City of Mississauga, and that they are established and organized in a manner that ensures that they will be able to continue to meet the City's needs over time. The award of a Contract will be based on the lowest acceptable bid in total, received from a qualified Bidder. The City is open to awarding the Contract to more than one bidder, where the bid meets the specifications and substantially complies with the RFT requirements. The Contract will be awarded by category. Qualified Bidders are those that meet the following requirements: They are readily available to undertake Contract requirements They are currently registered with Landscape Ontario or equivalent; and have been registered for a minimum of the last two (2) years They are in the business of horticulture for a minimum of the last five (5) years; They have relevant experience (with contracts of comparable size, scope and complexity) with a contract successfully completed or in process (within the last three years); and Must be able to provide product according to Specification section 5.0 Product Specifications.
