Demolition, site work and addition to a detention facility in Placerville, California. Working plans call for the addition of a 22,390-square-foot, two-story above grade detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
The project consists of the construction of a two-story, 22,390-square-foot addition, creating new units ranging from single bunks to dormitories, as well as day room, restroom/shower facilities, support spaces, counseling and secured recreation yards. Formerly known as the Forni Road Jail Expansion. As of August 1, 2024, the notice to proceed was issued in February 2024. However, construction is expected to start later October 2024. Total construction would take about 17 months. All trades have been awarded. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
