Harrison County Schools is requesting bids for the following: Robert C Byrd High School (RCB) Baseball Field Resurfacing. Specification for Harrison County RCB Baseball Field Resurfacing a. Resurfacing and Installation includes all surface materials and installation per the following scope of work: 1.Perform infield topography 2.Cut and clean infield 3.Remove any material needed to allow a 2-inch cap of Duraedge Classic product or equivalent. 4.Rough grade existing infield mix. 5.Install 2-inch cap of Duraedge Classic or equivalent on field. 6.Laser grade and compact surface. Install new bases and base anchors. 7.Install Durapitch premium mound clay or equivalent to mound and home plate area. 8.Install new pitching rubber and home plate. 9.Top-dress with Duraedge ProSlide or equivalent and groom for play. 10. Installers of materials specified shall have, at minimum, five successful installations of similar projects and materials. 11. Installers shall be in possession of and demonstrate knowledge of the use of laser guided finishing equipment. After the bid opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by a representative of Harrison County Schools All erasures, interpolations and other physical changes in the bid form shall be signed or initialed by the bidder. Bids containing any conditions, omissions, erasures, alterations or items not called for in the proposal, or irregularities of any kind, may be rejected by the Owner as being incomplete or irregular. All questions and inquiries should be submitted in writing via email to Jill Fratto, Purchasing Director, at jill.fratto@k12.wv.us. Answers, citing the question asked, will be distributed by email simultaneously to all known prospective bidders. Please be advised all questions must be received prior to 10:00 a.m. on September 18, 2023. No answers to inquiries will be addressed after the deadline. (Note: Written requirements in the Bid or its Amendments are binding, but any oral communications between the Owners designee and bidder are not.) There is no pre-bid conference. The successful bidder shall submit a Performance and Material Bond within ten (10) calendar days of award notification for projects exceeding $25,000. Failure to submit a Performance Bond nullifies the Bid. A Bid Bond is not required for this project. No Performance & Material Bond is required for projects of $25,000 or less. For projects exceeding $25,000, the bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall pay for, execute, and deliver to the Owner within ten (10) business days after award of the contract by the Owner a 100% corporate surety Performance and Material Payment Bond on AIA Document A311 (or equivalent form), to be executed by a solvent Bonding company listed in the most current Federal Register, Circular 570, and is authorized to do business in West Virginia. The labor and material Bond shall be in the sum of 100% of the company contract. An irrevocable Letter of Credit is not acceptable as a Performance Bond. The successful bidder shall ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder, to waive all informalities in the bidding process to the extent permitted by law, to reject any or all bids, and to make selections from the bids that are solely in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all bids and to reject a bid not accompanied by the required bid security or by other data required by the bidding documents or to reject a bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular. The Owner shall have the right to reject a bid based on a bidders past work practices (with the Owner and/or other firm/government agency). In addition, any judgments or complaints against a bidder shall be cause to reject a bid. The Owner shall be the sole determiner as to bid acceptance or rejection.
