Renovation of a municipal facility in Vestal, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Sherburne Exterior Painting CR Number: 2101818 Broome DDSOO is seeking a vendor to paint all exterior wood surfaces including porches and decking. Successful bidder shall also be responsible for repairing or replacing all wood surfaces that are in too poor of condition to accept paint. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to the below scope of work. Pictures are attached to give a general idea of the scope of work but interested vendors must attend a required site visit as detailed on the below general requirements. Surfaces have tested positive for lead paint and contractor must be lead certified. Failure to do so will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. There are no exceptions. Please write clearly for corresponding purposes and make sure you include an email address and phone number where you can be reached. Late arrivers at the site will not be allowed to sign in, participate, nor submit a quote for this project. Method of Award: This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Broome DDSO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and its subject to vendor responsibility determination. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. In deciding whether to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Broome DDSO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Broome DDSOs interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note, all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes. This includes the residence visitor log and/or an attendance sheet provided by the Maintenance Department. In the event of a tie, contract will be awarded to the Contractor whose bid was received earliest. Prevailing Wages: Schedule PRC #: 2023010857 NYS Labor law requires that all contracted employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in state owned buildings receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which they are working. Certified payroll record/s MUST be submitted at the time of invoicing. . Without submittal of certified payroll record/s, payment will not be made. If you need any assistance understanding prevailing wages, please contact NYS DOL at (607) 721-8005 SCOPE OF WORK: 1.Prep all exterior wood surface for painting by removing all lose and peeling paint and pressure washing afterwards. 2.Prep all exterior doors for paint as appropriate to the material that the door is. Prep - scrape off all old paint and make all necessary repairs to all wood trim on home also window trim. Replace any rotten trim. 3.Prime all scraped wood, use a primer rated for outdoor use. (See attached painting standards for further directions). 4.Paint all white trim an exterior rated paint as close to existing color as possible. Paint shall be Sherwin Williams or approved equivalent. Painting shall be done according to the attached painting standards including the number of coats of paint. Paint color selected and paint type shall be approved by facility contact Prior to start of work. 5.Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of debris created during project and cleaning/repairing any part of the house damaged during this project (including getting paint on surfaces not meant to be painted). 6.Contractor shall warrantee work against bubbling or peeling for a period of one year from date of payment for job. 7.Vendor must hold a certification to remove lead paint and must adhere to all requirements of the removal of lead paint as this house has tested positive for lead. Please check your submission for arithmetic errors and correct labor wages. Broome DDSO reserves the right to reject any quote which does not reflect the correct prevailing wages in accordance with the provided wage schedule. Tabulation of quotes will be posted to the listings on NYS Contract Reporter along with the award. Please note there is a mandatory scheduled site visit. When submitting your quote, be sure to include a cost breakdown (materials, labor, and overhead) and list number. Contract term: Within 60 days of receiving the purchase order
