Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 49,923-square-foot, two-story above grade, 315-seat educational facility.
This Replacement for Ecole Boreale School will be delivered by Alberta Infrastructure for the Conseil Scolaire Centre Nord/Greater North Francophone Education Region. The scope of work includes construction of a new K-12 school which will have an opening capacity of 315 students and a gross floor area of 3,585m2 located on the Abraham’s Landing of Fort McMurray. Beyond the core school facilities, the project scope incorporates dedicated pre-school and daycare spaces and a multi-purpose community space within the new school. Demolition of the existing Ecole Boreale is included in the general contractor’s scope of work. Address: The school will be located at Abraham’s Landing, Fort McMurray, Alberta. T9J 1B2 (TBC). It is located within a larger area known as Abram’s Lands. The project delivery method will be Design-Bid-Build (DBB). The estimated construction budget will not be disclosed. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the estimated construction budget remains subject to change and is contingent on further internal budgetary approval(s). If such approval(s) are not given, no agreement will be awarded and the Province will not be liable under any circumstances. The successful Proponent, if any, will remain responsible for developing its own cost estimates in relation to the Project and in strict compliance with the Agreement.
