Oxford Senior Center Roof Replacement. The scope of work for the project will consist of, but not limited to, the following: 2 For the purposes of this document any reference to "roofing, shingles, installation" will be representative with the intended scope of work. Further, "contract" or "agreement" will refer to any resulting agreement deriving from this request for quotation. Town Of Oxford, Massachusetts ("Town"), acting through its Town Manager, is issuing this written scope of work to solicit price proposals from qualified contractors licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to replace existing shingle roof at the Oxford Senior Center. Bidder Instructions All proposals must address the minimum criteria set forth herein and bidders that do not meet the minimum criteria may be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered. All proposals shall be submitted on company letterhead. A duly authorized agent of the bidder must sign all proposals. Proposals must include all attached forms provided with this package. The submitted cost proposal is to be comprehensive and include provisions for all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to complete the work as specified. 1) Remove approximately 6,057 sqft of existing shingle roofing at the Oxford Senior Center. 2) Responsibility of bidder to verify actual shingled square footage. 3) Install new color white F-8 drip-edge. 4) Install ice and water shield at all eaves, valleys, and penetrations. 5) Install synthetic felt for the remaining area. 6) Install GAF Timberline HDZ (high-definition shingle) or equivalent approved by owner. 7) All flashing to be done to manufacturer's specifications. 8) Clean grounds and roof areas daily. 9) Properly dispose of any/all demo debris in accordance with pertinent Federal, State, and Local regulations. 10) The Contractor is responsible for obtaining any/all permits required to facilitate the work specified herein, including payment of permit fees. 11) The work contemplated under this RFQ and described herein is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage law. Contractors shall make provisions in their quotation to pay their employees prevailing wages as detailed on the accompanying wage schedule in Appendix A. 12) A Payment Bond of 50% of the bid price is required before contract execution for contracts exceeding $25,000. 13) Contractors are required to have appropriate OSHA certifications
