Renovation of a fire / police facility in Southwick, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Police Station Cupola Repairs Costs shall include compensation for all equipment, materials and labor necessary to complete the work. All workers must be OSHA certified with at least a 10 hour safety training certificate. Any equipment operator must hold a valid Hoisters License and Commercial Drivers License in order to operate equipment that requires such additional licensure. The Contractor must provide a signed statement by a corporate officer listing any recent (within the last three years) or pending legal actions, suits, debarments or disqualifications (DQ) by any individuals, corporations or government agencies of any level or NONE as applicable. All work is to be coordinated with others performing slate, copper cupola roof and gutter work. Furnish all materials and equipment for general conditions required under this scope of work. Furnish, erect maintain and remove, when directed all scaffolds, staging and rigging where required for carpentry and painting work. Removal and replacement of all deteriorated exposed wood surfaces, including siding and trim. This is to include the entire structure from the lower edge ofthe upper bell tower roofto the bottom ofthe pedestal base. The interior surfaces ofthe cupola will be evaluated during the repairs, but are not expected to need more that preparation and paint, with the possible exception ofthe columns. The intent is to provide a sound, paintable finish. Siding at the base ofthe columns is to be replaced on all sides ofthe columns. New trim is to be matched as closely as possible to existing trim profiles. Samples of all new trim styles to be submitted to Owner for approval before any work is started. All break metal to be removed and replaced with like quality material. Do not install finish carpentry materials that are wet, moisture damaged, or mold damaged Questions shall be sent in writing to David Sutton, Director of Buildings and Grounds, 454 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077, or to dsutton@southwickma.gov.
