A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The existing Michigan Public Safety Communication System (MPSCS) Bay Region Service Center (BRSC) at 3202 S. Euclid Avenue. Bay City, MI 48706 does not provide enough indoor space for conducting large customer (MSP & DNR) projects, or storage of site maintenance equipment. A study and schematic design phase have been completed for a new facility to be located west of the existing Michigan State Police (MSP) Tri-City Post in Bay County, Williams Township at 2402 Salzburg Rd., Freeland, MI 48623. The scope of the initial study phase grew excessively in size and quality resulting in a higher-than-expected opinion of probable cost (OPC). A revision to OPC was completed to include reducing square footage and changing to wood framed pole building construction. The initial study and OPC revision are attached. The Michigan Public Safety Communication System (MPSCS) is requesting design consulting services for a new Bay Region Service Center (BRSC) It is anticipated that the design will be completed and ready to bid by February 2024. The construction schedule depends on final funding and may start in the spring of 2024 or October 2024 after the start of the next fiscal year. Please do not submit online questions via SIGMA VSS.
