Site work and paving for a road / highway in Round Rock, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Work covered by these Specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, appliances, materials and performing all operations in connection with the inspection and testing, complete in accordance with the Plans, and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. SCOPE OF WORK: The Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor agrees to accomplish all abatement work in accordance with these developed Scope of Work Procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state and/or local codes, rules and regulations. Abatement of the identified/presumed asbestos-containing materials will be completed in accordance with all TDSHS, Texas Asbestos Health Protection Rules (TAHPR), 25TAC$295, and the United Stated Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations. The scope of work will entail the removal, packaging, hauling, and proper disposal of buried Twelve Inch (12") Asbestos Cement (Transite) Water Piping from various locations under and/or adjacent to Sam Bass Road, and/or Wyoming Springs Road, Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas. In addition to the removal and disposal of various sections of the piping, the asbestos contractor will be responsible for the encapsulation/stabilization of exposed ends of sections of piping that will eventually be abandoned in place. For the abatement, the Licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies for the proper removal, transportation, and disposal of the asbestos-containing piping materials in accordance with this specification and all applicable federal, state and/or local codes, rules, & regulations. The City of Round Rock further reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bids received. Bids must be submitted on City of Round Rock bid forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Round Rock, Texas equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The successful bidder will be expected to execute the City of Round Rock's standard contract and to furnish performance and payment bonds, all as described in the bid documents. Contractors and subcontractors shall pay to laborers, workmen, and mechanics the prevailing wage rates as determined by the City of Round Rock. E/A may determine that written clarifications or interpretations of the requirements of the Contract Documents (in the form of drawings or otherwise) are necessary. Such written clarifications or interpretations will be consistent with the intent of and reasonably inferable from the Contract Documents, will be issued with reasonable promptness by Owner's Representative and will be binding on the OWNER and the CONTRACTOR.
