GENERAL INFORMATION A. Should a bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the drawings or specifications or be in doubt as to their written meaning, the bidder should immediately notify the Architect who will then send a written instruction or interpretation to all known holders of the documents. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will be responsible for oral instructions or any other communications not included in the documents or addenda. B. It is understood and agreed that refinement and detailing of the drawings and specifications will occur from time to time. No adjustment in the contract sum or completion date shall be made unless such refinement results in changes to the scope, quality, or function of the work not reasonably inferable or anticipatable. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Contract to the contrary, the Contractor will receive no increase in the contract sum based on the increased cost of the work resulting from change orders or increased cost of any allowance items unless the change required is beyond the scope of the work. C. The Contractor shall not use in the project any new materials containing asbestos, asbestos products, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), or other toxic substances. If the Contractor discovers that such substances as described herein have been specified or do exist in the project, the Contractor shall promptly notify the Architect in writing and make substitutions for these products at no cost to the Owner
