As of 11/16/2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The work is generally described as follows: Rehabilitation of the wastewater treatment plant including dewatering and cleaning of SBR basins and influent pump station wet well, rehabilitating the influent pump station, installing new and/or refurbished SBR equipment, constructing a new chlorine contact chamber, retrofitting the existing concrete flume metering structure for the purpose of dechlorination, and installing a sulfur dioxide dechlorination injection system. The project also includes installation of new sewer force main, and the installation of interior liners in ten (10) select manholes for the purpose of inflow and infiltration reduction. Each Bidder must deposit with the bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements. Attention of Bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract (Davis-Bacon Act. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Contract Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER. Question Deadline 09/25/2023 The work to be performed at the Wastewater Treatment Plant includes but is not limited to the following: (Refer to Construction Drawings for full extent of Scope of Work) Maintain bypass pumping to sewer lagoon. Dewater and clean SBR concrete basins. Install new and/or refurbished mixers, aerators, decant assemblies, cables and connecting hardware, pumping assemblies, motorized and manual valves, electrical control system including control panel, starters, flow controller, transducer, switches, timers, flow meters, chart recorder, and ultra sonic control flow meter. Remove existing UV disinfection unit. Rehabilitate influent pump station. Install project sign. Construct new concrete chlorination chamber. Retrofit the existing concrete flume metering structure for use as a dechlorination basin. Install new sulfur dioxide dechlorination system. Install approximately 535 L.F. of 6" PVC sewer force main. Inflow/infiltration Repairs: Includes installation of a corrosion resistant interior liner on ten (10) manholes throughout the Village's sewer collection system to eliminate water infiltration and inflow into the manholes. Assumed average depth of manholes is 8 ft.
