The scope of work will consist of selective demolition of 400+- square feet of the existing timber deck, 90+- lineal feet of timber/steel ramps and associated support structures, construction of a new 420+- square foot timber deck and associated railings, construction of a new 80 foot long by 4 foot wide (clear distance) aluminum gangway, construction of a new concrete gangway landing, and minor regrading of the gravel paved areas. The work is described in the Bidding Documents. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer via email at AGradeski@TigheBond.com Prospective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the "planholders" or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Bidding documents may also be examined at the Town of Marlborough Clerk's office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, and shall include a 5% bid bond. The successful bidder will also be required to provide performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% ofthe value ofthe contract. The time period for holding Bids is 45 days after opening ofBids.
