The existing roof assemblies, including membrane, insulation, base sheet, flashing, sheet metal components, and mechanical screen walls, are to be completely removed down to the structural roof decks. Also included in the scope is the replacement of the mansard roofs located around the perimeter of the school. The contract will include base bid contingencies for quantities (with unit prices) for replacement of unforeseen deteriorated roof deck uncovered during demolition. Provide and install all roof assembly components as indicated on the drawings and specifications. Provide new thermal insulation and tapered insulation where identified, and a high density coverboard. The roof membrane shall be a fully adhered thermoplastic PVC system with PVC flashing. Provide new sheet metal parapet caps, roof edge, penetration flashing and counterflashing as indicated. 4.0 The project involves the replacement of the existing roof systems throughout the school totaling approximately 61,000SF. The existing roof assemblies, including membrane, insulation, base sheet, flashing, sheet metal components, and mechanical screen walls, are to be completely removed down to the structural roof decks. All questions shall be directed, in writing, no later than 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 via the Bonfire website This Section outlines the scope of work included in the roof replacement project at Clemens Crossing Elementary School in Columbia, MD. Refer to the appropriate specification section for further information about installation methods and components to be provided. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Remove and dispose of existing roofing systems and components, including membrane, insulation, base sheets, flexible and metal flashings, and associated materials and components down to structural deck unless, otherwise noted. Remove existing mechanical screen walls, ladders, metal roof panels, soffit panels, light fixtures, and other items indicated on the Drawings (Division 02 Section "Selective Structure Demolition"). 2. Replace deteriorated cementitious wood fiber deck (Division 03 Section "Cementitious Wood Fiber Decks"). 3. Provide brick masonry units at new throughwall flashing and abandoned scupper openings. Repoint brick masonry veneer where indicated (Division 04 Section "Maintenance of Unit Masonry"). 4. Repair or remove and replace existing deteriorated steel deck (Division 05 Section "Steel Decking"). 5. Provide roof access ladders (Division 05 Section "Metal Fabrications"). 6. Provide wood blocking at perimeter edges, walls, stud walls, fascias, and penetrations (Division 06 Section "Rough Carpentry"). 7. Provide nailed base sheet on cementitious wood fiber decks and new multi-layered insulation systems throughout the roof areas. Insulate and provide white EPDM membrane at rooftop ductwork (Division 07 Section "Roof and Deck Insulation"). 8. Provide premanufactured standing seam metal roof panels, closures, trim, and related accessories (Division 07 Section "Metal Roof Panels"). 9. Provide flush seam metal wall panels and associated sheet metal flashings at rising walls (Division 07 Section "Metal Wall Panels"). 10. Provide composite panels at fascia and soffits (Division 07 Section "Composite Wall Panels). 11. Provide adhered thermoplastic membrane roofing system (Division 07 Section "Thermoplastic Roofing"). 12. Provide perimeter and penetration sheet metal flashings and counterflashings, and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications (Division 07 Section "Flashing and Sheet Metal"). 13. Provide metal curbs, roof hatches, and gas line supports (Division 07 Section "Roof Accessories"). 14. Remove and replace sealant and backer materials at window and door perimeters (Division 07 Section "Joint Sealants"). 15. Prepare, prime, and paint gas line on room
