State of good repair alterations to the Ramsden Artificial Ice Rink. The Scope of work shall include but not limited to; Refrigeration System Equipment Building (Refrigeration/Zamboni/Office/WR) .1 Roofing (including accessories) - replace, if required .2 Doors & windows - replace (interior & exterior) .3 Office - replace eye-wash .4 Masonry (interior & exterior) - repair .5 Painting/Finishes (interior) - paint all exposed surfaces .6 Remove and replace ice rink system equipment to suit requirements .7 Review conformance of the existing ice plant machine room to current applicable Codes and provide options to remedy any deficiencies found. .8 Additional items based on the successful Supplier's review of existing SGR for this facility. Exterior Rink Concrete Slab/ Tennis Court (rink ice pad/ tennis court) .1 Remove and replace existing concrete slab (including refrigeration system) - full replacement of tennis court concrete surface area (approximately 124 feet x 150 feet), to be verified .2 New concrete rink slab to suit the existing refrigeration slab coverage. .3 Rink floor concrete design to have the strength and surface suitable for an outdoor rink with summer usage .4 Include for inserts in new rink slab to allow for benching in the new rink slab .5 Allow for two (2) sets of basketball post inserts, location to be determined .6 Header Pipe Trench and cover - replace with a buried header system to suit the new rink design .7 Tennis Court - accessory replacement for up to 4 courts (including Inserts, line painting, etc.) .8 Allow for a dasher system on one side of the skating surface with suitable inserts .9 Allow for four (4) pair of goal post inserts in the skating surface slab .10 Allow for a removable curb at the skating surface edge, around its perimeter .11 Addition of up to four (4) low voltage weather and tamper proof duplex outlets in the rink floor. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Engineering Services has been issued by the owner. The awarded proponent will provide design services for the accessibility design improvements and state of good repair improvements at the Ramsden Ice Rink.
