The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is requesting quotations from excavation contractors to install a 10m section of concrete box culvert and all associated excavation and civil works within Lost Lake Rd. Whistler BC. This project involves the installation of 4 concrete box culverts within Lost Lake Road to act as a Toad Underpass. As such, the RMOW is seeking the services of a contractor to complete the necessary excavation, removals, installation of the concrete box culverts, backfill and rip rap retaining walls. The scope of work shall include the following: 1. Provide all asphalt cuts, removal, and disposal off-site. 2. Provide all common excavation and temporary on-site disposal of material to permit box culvert installation. Existing fill may be suitable for some on-site reinstallation. Off-site disposal, if necessary, will be done at time and material rates in addition to the bid price. 3. Supply, install, and compaction of new 19mm subbase gravels including installation of 2, 100mm carrier pipe for future use (RMOW to supply). No services exist or are expected at this time. 4. Installation of 4 Pre-Cast Concrete Box Culverts as per Engineered Drawing by third party crane. RMOW to supply Box Culverts delivered on site including coordination, cost, and supply of third-party crane. 5. Supply and install suitable backfill and compaction. 6. Supply and install of suitable rip rap wing wall retainment including geotextile separation as per engineered drawing. 7. Supply, install and compaction of 19mm road base. 8. Traffic Control, construction fencing, and asphalt repaving are not in scope and will be completed by RMOW.
