As of February 29, 2024, per owner, a design team has been identified. They are to deliver 30% plans, a geometric layout, and cost estimate by August of 2025. A final design contract will be created to continue the design to construction plans. The project is currently slated for construction in 2030, and therefore required two design contracts because of contract time constraints. MnDOT requests responses for professional, technical assistance to develop a preliminary engineering design for the concrete reconstruction of US 10 in the City of Dilworth, Clay County. The preliminary design work spans approximately 1.7 miles, from 100 feet west of 34th Street to 0.1 miles east of junction of SE 7th Street. Project Goal The goal of this project is to develop 30% design plans and a level 1 geometric layout after completing intersection analyses to determine a preferred project alternative. The Highway 10 corridor study should be used to determine long-term goals and strategies to promote economic development and facilitate the safe and efficient movement of people of all ages, abilities, and incomes, as well as the safe and efficient movement of goods along the corridor.
