This project includes installation of approximately 5,500 linear feet of 36-inch diameter ductile iron pipe reclaimed water main along with all associated fittings, valves, appurtenances, and miscellaneous work and incidental items. Background : Orange County exercises the rights and privileges conveyed to it by the State of Florida, and the Orange County Charter. It presently operates with an elected chief executive officer, Orange County Mayor, and six elected district commissioners, who together comprise the Board of County Commissioners. If the CONTRACTOR intends to bid on this Contract as a Joint Venture then all insurance coverage required herein shall include the Joint Venture as named insured. If the Joint Venture has no employees then this requirement is waived for workers' compensation. The Joint Venture shall also purchase discontinued completed operations coverage for any claims made after the dissolution of the Joint Venture. This coverage shall be for a period of two years following final completion of the project or continuing service contract. The following licensing requirements shall apply when the applicable Florida statute mandates specific licensing for Contractors engaged in the type of work covered by this solicitation. State of Florida, Department of Professional Regulation, Construction Industries Licensing Board and licensed by other federal, state, regional, county or municipal agencies having jurisdiction over the specified construction work. Said licenses shall be in the Respondent name as it appears on the Official Bid Form. Respondent shall supply appropriate license numbers, with expiration dates, as part of their bid. Failure to hold and provide proof of proper licensing, certification and registration shall be grounds for rejection of the bid. Respondent shall provide copies of all applicable licenses with their Bid Proposal. Subcontractors contracted by the Prime Contractor shall be licensed in their respective fields to obtain construction permits from the County. Said licenses must be in the name of the subcontractor as listed within the bid submittal. The Starwood Reclaimed Water Main Project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the facilities consisting of, but not limited to the following: 1. Furnish and installing approximately 5,500 linear feet of 36-inch diameter ductile iron pipe reclaimed water main along with all associated fittings, valves, appurtenances, and miscellaneous work and incidental items, as shown on the Drawings. 2. Required clearing and grubbing and proper disposal of all cleared materials. 3. Excavation, backfill, and compaction for underground utilities. 4. Testing of installed systems. 5. Restoration and site clean-up. Measurement: Measurement shall be based on satisfactory Erosion and Sediment Control in accordance with the County requirements and specifications (Section 01560). b. Payment: Payment of the applicable Contract lump sum price as stated in the proposal will be full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to control and prevent sediment transportation from the Work area to adjacent properties, including installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary erosion and sediment controls.
