Retrofit of the former Vincent Massey Public School to convert existing classroom space into community housing and community programming space. This may also include the design of tiny homes for inclusion on the property. The work for this project involves the renovation of a one-storey building, originally constructed as a school, into a transitional housing facility in Cornwall, Ontario. The project will include renovation of an existing building including revisions to site services, site work, landscaping, parking, hazardous materials remediation and fit-up. Work is to include, but not limited to, all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, security, permits, disposal and incidentals required to complete the project The total budget for the project including land acquisition, design fees, construction, contingencies, and professional services has been estimated to $2,254,000. Funding for this project will be coming from Social Services Relief Fund, Canada Ontario Community Housing Initiative (COCHI), Homelessness Prevention Program, and Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative (OPHI).
