The City of Sacramento, Development Engineering Section desires to retain well-qualified professional and technical consultants with experience and technical expertise related to civil engineering plan review and map review. The City's intent is to prepare for increasing permit activities by supplementing in-house staff with consulting services. The desired services include plan review (including occasional structural review), construction inspection services, map review, and researching city records to provide information to customers. Plan review includes reviewing on-site building applications for building permits and offsite improvement plans (major and minor encroachment permit applications). Map reviews include final maps, parcel maps, certificates of compliance, and lot line adjustments. All reviews will be performed in compliance with the City and State standards including but not limited to Design and Procedures Manual, Standard Specifications, City Code, City Ordinances, City Policies, Subdivision Map Act, Record of Decision conditions, etc. The goal for final approval for a plan review or map review is at the end of the 3rd cycle review. It is important to work closely with the applicant and his engineer to address any issues or questions they may have, and to strive for plan approval by the 3rd review cycle.
