Program of upgrades, repairs and improvements to the sports facilities and structures at Montreal Mackenzie-King Park located at 4905 Ave Saint-Kevin H3W 1P4 in Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Borough. The scope of the project includes construction of a new multi-sports field, renovations of the park structures and various developments. The scope of work will more specifically include a modernization of relaxation areas, play areas and the park chalet, improvement of sports infrastructure, including a multi-sport field with a synthetic surface, a volleyball court and physical exercise modules, greening of the park that will involve not only the planting of trees with a large canopy, but also the demineralization of the paths and spaces surrounding the park chalet improving water management that will allow to increase the permeability of trails by 40%. A dry river will also be installed in the park to collect more rainwater. TIMELINE: Project plans and specifications are prepared by professional consulting firms by construction packages. First construction package relating to the park chalet renovation has been already tendered, awarded and is followed in the report under CRM ID name Renovation du Chalet du Parc Mackenzie-King. Construction started. Tender(s) for subsequent package(s) is (are) anticipated starting fall 2024 and will be followed in new separate reports.
