The department is looking at ways to increase reliability in areas that are prone to outages. Line rebuilds and reconductoring will provide electrical capacity for alternate feeds and to support future growth. The department is requesting to underground new infrastructure in areas that outage prone and require significant investment in right-of-way management. This project is included in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction expected FY2024-2028. As of December 10, 2024, project has been awarded to several engineers. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
