The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Parks and Recreation Division intends to solicit assistance from the Innovative Readiness Training Program under the Military Assistance Program in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs The Project assistance includes: Site preparation and approximately 3,500' lineal feet of aggregate roadbed resurfacing along the Keewaydin Lake and Teddy Lake roads within Craig Lake State Park to provide better visitor access and service. Renovations to cabins, cold storage buildings, toilet building, and day use pavilion at Baraga, Craig Lake, and Van Riper State Parks. Renovations may include wall coverings, floor coverings, ceiling coverings, siding & roofing replacements, doors & windows, masonry repairs, and electrical & plumbing upgrades. Installation of new sidewalks at Van Riper State Park. Installation of a new playground at Baraga State Park. Gravel and grading of parking lots, roadways, and trails at multiple recreation facilities and State Forest roads in Baraga and Marquette Counties Local contractors, labor union organizations or private contractors who have questions or who wish to voice opposition of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs' assistance regarding this project may contact District Supervisor Douglas Rich at 906-353-6651 no later than 30 days after publication of this notice.
