The Board of Education of the Saratoga Springs City School District invites the submission of Separate Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Legacy Project - Phase 4 Caroline Street and Division Street project all in accordance with the plans and specifications for the following categories of work: Contract No 27 - Electrical Construction Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the date of the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after the bid opening. Bidders can inspect the work locations before submitting bids. This can be done any Monday through Friday, except holidays, during hours when there will be School District Staff Personnel in the building. Unless directed otherwise, immediately upon entering the building, report to the School Office. This page of the specification may be used to identify you as a bidder. Follow instructions of School Personnel and keep interruptions to teaching activities to a minimum. Checks or money orders shall be made payable to Saratoga Springs City School District. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. The deposit will be refunded ONLY to those bidders who submit a bona fide bid proposal in accordance with the terms in the "Information for Bidders" and who return a complete set of Bidding Documents in COMPLETE, UNMARKED, and NOT TORN condition to REV within thirty (30) days after the award of contract(s) covered by such Bidding Documents, or the rejection of such bid(s). Non-bidders, including material suppliers and subcontractors, as well as plan holders who do not submit bid proposals, WILL NOT be eligible for a refund. SED CONTROL NO: CAROLINE STREET ELEMENTARY 52-18-00-01-0-001-017 DIVISION STREET ELEMENTARY 52-18-00-01-0-004-016 Project Locations: 1. Caroline Street Elementary School - 310 Caroline Street, Saratoga Springs NY 12866 2. Division Street Elementary School - 220 Division Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 Contract No. 27 - ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION (EC) A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to complete all work in strict accordance with the following specification sections: Electrical Specification Index complete and in its entirety. Division 0 - Contract Documents as they pertain to this scope of work Division 1 - General Requirements as they pertain to this scope of work Division 2 THRU 33- Contract Documents as they pertain to this scope of work B. Work to include, but not limited to the following: 1. Provide all daily labor and equipment necessary to dispose of materials and debris created by this contract into dumpsters as required, dumpsters to be provided by Contract No. 23 - General Construction. 2. Provide all necessary permits, fees, inspections, warranties, approvals and coordination with Local, County, State and federal Agencies having jurisdiction. 3. All layout and coordination in a timely manner with all other Contracts for all layout and coordination necessary to complete this scope of work. 4. Unless otherwise stated in individual scopes of work, each Contract shall provide all cutting and patching of work surfaces to complete its work. 5. Provide removal and re-installation of existing ceiling components not shown on the drawings, but required for the completion of this scope of work. 6. Provide Disconnects & Motor Starters for all Mechanical Equipment as indicated MD002, MD003, MC002 & MC003. 7. Provide all Penetration and Joint Firestopping as it pertains to this scope of work 8. Disconnect all existing equipment to be removed or relocated. 9. Install all Variable Frequency Drives furnished by Contract No. 26 - Mechanical Construction. 10. Provide all Final Cleaning as it pertains to this scope of work. 11. Provide all Closeout Procedures as it pertains to this scope of work. 12. Provide all Penetration and Joint Firestopping as it pertains to this scope of work. 13. Provide all Caulking and Sealants as it pertains to this scope of work. 14. Provide all Selective Demolition as it pertains to this scope of work. 15. Provide all Temporary Power and Lighting complete. Excludes Contract No.24 - Roofing Construction. 16. Coordinate routing of all conduit and lighting with other trades prior to installation. 17. Provide all relocations and additions to existing building Fire Alarm Systems. Test and commission once Fire Alarm work is complete. 18. Provide temporary protection of all fire alarm devices impacted by construction activities. 19. Provide all scope indicated on drawings C FS 101 thru 108 & D FS 101 thru 108 as it pertains to EC (electrical contractor). 20. Provide all scope indicated on all Theatrical Construction drawings as it pertains to EC (electrical contractor).
