REVEER: 200209.11 N. CHS.: 2023-XX The work includes sidewalk improvements within City Council District 10 in the City of North Charleston. Construction of Package 10B includes the following: Approximately 850 LF of new sidewalk on Mott Avenue along the west side of the street from Cosgrove Avenue to Accabee Road. Approximately 270 LF of new sidewalk on Accabee Road along the south side of the street from Thomasina McPherson Boulevard to Mott Avenue. Approximately 580 LF of new sidewalk on Van Smith Avenue along the south side of the street from Accabee Road to Crosby Avenue. Approximately 450 LF of new sidewalk on Crosby Avenue along the west side of the street from Accabee Road to Van Smith Avenue. Approximately 760 LF of new sidewalk on Becker Street along the east side of the street from S T Simmons Drive to Appleton Street. Approximately 1,880 LF of new sidewalk on Suffolk Street along the southwest side of the street from Cambridge Avenue to Aintree Avenue. Approximately 1,650 LF of new sidewalk on East Surrey Drive along the east side of the street from Dorchester Road to South Surrey Drive. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished. Checks, regardless of form, will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularities in bidding and reject all Bids if it is in the Owner's best interest to do so. Unless all bids are rejected, awards will be to the low responsive, responsible Bidder.
