In general, a Job Order Contract (JOC) is a competitively bid, firm fixed priced, indefinite quantity contract. The Contract scope of work includes a collection of detailed repair and construction tasks and specifications that have established unit prices for Job Order Contracts (JOCs) as identified in this document. The University issues to the Contractor discrete, fixed-price task or job orders, as needed, under the contract. Under the JOC concept, the Contractor furnishes all management, documentation, labor, materials, and equipment needed to perform the work. All CSU campuses, including the Chancellor's Office, will be participating in the CSU systemwide agreement. The front-end documents, the Construction Task Order Catalog and the Technical Specifications will be available at the PlanetBids website at no cost. The Trustees require the successful bidder to achieve three percent (3%) Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation in contracting construction projects as established in the bidding documents, and this must occur prior to the bid opening. All contractors and all tiers of subcontractors bidding on this project shall register to bid public works projects with the Department of Industrial Relations, and maintain current this registration pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5.
