Under the Department of Public Works the Sewer Division is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the municipal wastewater distribution system. The Schmidt Lane Pump Station is one of seven municipal pumping stations that are used to elevate the flow of waste at low elevation points along the sewer distribution system. The Schmidt Lane Pump Station currently operates with one main submersible pump that was installed in 2010, and during an audit of the pumping station the Director of Public Works, along with the Sewer Supervisor determined it necessary to purchase an additional submersible pump as a secondary system in the event of a system failure, or maintenance requiring down time, to the primary pump that is now over ten years old. The purpose of this bid is to purchase a submersible pump. To be familiar with and supply one new and unused Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) submersible pump. The Pump shall be an ABS Model XPF-205J 1040/4 460volts 3 Phase, 139.4 Horsepower or equivalent. It shall be up to the bidder to demonstrate to the satisfaction of Township officials an equivalent model proposed. This shall include two 50' cables. The price bid shall include FOB Destination shipping. Installation is not required for this bid. The bidder shall include with the submission proposed warranty information.
