Site work for a water / sewer project in Hempstead, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Regrading of approximately 80,000 lineal feet of roadway ditch along City Streets and removal and replacement of approximately 22,000 linear feet of storm sewer pipe and box culvert. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Grading and shaping of existing ditches and channel. 2. Removal and replacement of existing culvert pipes. 3. Installation of box culverts and associated appurtenances. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each Bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Hempstead or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Hempstead reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Hempstead for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the Bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
