Greyhound Rock County Park (GRCP) was initially set aside by Santa Cruz County to allow access to shore fishing along Highway 1. This area is renowned for wildlife viewing, with thousands of northern elephant seals coming ashore to mate and breed at Año Nuevo every winter and many species of seabirds utilizing offshore rocks. GRCP receives a significant influx of public visitors and recreationalists throughout the entire year which necessitates the existence of a public restroom facility to keep the premises safe and clean and eliminate the inconvenience of visitors having to leave GRCP to use a bathroom. Improperly serviced and maintained vault toilets will create dangerously unhealthy conditions and encourage the transfer of diseases and infections amongst its users. The purpose of this contract is to acquire professional toilet facility cleaning services from October 9th, 2023 through June 30th, 2024. The Contractor will provide all qualified labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, dumping fees, transportation, license and/or permits, taxes, and any other items of expense necessary for restroom facility cleaning at Greyhound Rock Fishing access. 1) Cleaning will consist of sanitizing, power-washing of walls and doors, refreshing of odor-suppressing chemicals in the holding tanks, and removal of all insects, webs, and debris. This also includes restocking of single ply toilet paper, utilizing recycled products. The Contractor will choose to designate a specific day of the week for servicing to maintain consistency throughout the contract duration. 2) Contractor will bring their own water source for power-washing The Contractor will be required to maintain the following insurance coverage throughout the duration of this agreement and must supply proof of coverage upon request by CDFW. Insurance must be in accordance with the Exhibit D CDFW Additional Provisions.
