Site work for a conference / convention center in Orlando, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a conference / convention center.
The Orange County Convention Center Complex is located on almost 400 acres in Orlando, Florida, North of the intersection of Interstate 4 and State Road 528, consists of two (2) multipurpose buildings, the West Building and the North-South Building, designed for conventions, trade shows, meetings and consumer events. The Center has seven million square feet of space, of which approximately 2.1 million square feet is exhibition space. It contains 23 exhibit halls withm over 125 configurations, 74 meeting rooms with over 230 configurations, 8 food courts, a ballroom, a 2,643-seat theater, a 200-seat lecture hall, and over 8,000 parking spaces. It is also accessible by four (4) pedestrian bridges which are connected to adjacent hotels. PROJECT OVERVIEW - SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Contractor to provide and install motorized slide gates. 2. Contractor is responsible for any and all preparatory work for a complete installation. 3. Scope of Work entails: a. West Dock Entrance gate (Refer to Appendix I) - provide gate operator to existing (1) slide gate. Slide gate to be activated through button/switch to be installed inside nearby guard shack. b. West Dock Exit gates (Refer to Appendix I) - Replace existing slide gates with (2) new, motorized slide gates. Slide gates will activate in conjunction with existing barrier arms tied into loop detectors. Contractor is to protect and reuse existing loop detectors for exit gate arms. i. An on/off switch is to be provided to disable the slide gates for when necessary. On/off switch to be installed inside guard shack. ii. Gates are approximately 38' x 7' 9" - measurements must be field verified. iii. Contractor to provide and install second loop detector for new exit gate operators. c. All gates must be provided with a Knox Access Box. Please see attached specifications for more information (Refer to Appendix II). 4. All gate operators capable of being controlled by access control. Access control equipment to be supplied by others. 5. Awarded bidder must coordinate installation with electrical and access control contractors. 6. Contractor shall provide all other equipment and materials needed for a complete installation. 7. All labor to be performed between 6 pm and 6 am. Project working hours to be determined based on show activity 8. Contractor shall coordinate with OCCC Capital Planning Representative to complete installation around show activity. 9. Electrical and access control work to be completed by others. 10. Ensure site is left in a clean and orderly manner each day. No debris left on site at any period of time and must be removed same day. 11. Contractor to be responsible for utility locates (Sunshine 811) before any underground work is performed. 12. Contractor to be responsible for applying for permits. OCCC to reimburse costs for permits & fees with no additional markup. The Estimated Cost for this project is $210,290.00 Question Submission Deadline: February 28, 2024, 5:00pm
