Bid will include crack sealing and flex patching the following roads: Normandy Court, South Shore Drive, Cross Cut Road, Hemlock Road, Birchwood Drive, Hemlock Lane, Woodland Dr, Half Mile Road, Juve Road, Moon Road, Four Corner Lane, N Lost Lake Drive, Burnt Bridge Road, Burnt Fridge Trail, and Henry Drive. Specification for Road Crack Sealing Crack Sealing shall consist of cleaning/heat lancing/sealing existing cracks as well as transverse and longitudinal joint cracks. The material used must be a premium quality rubber asphalt joint sealer. The sealer must meet and/or exceed the ASTM D6690 Type II specification for hot pour rubber asphalt joint sealants. Each container shall be labelled with the manufacturer's name, batch number and manufacturer's recommendation for melting and application. Routing of new cracks on unsealed roads shall be n>>' X n>> minimum. Cracks shall be blown out with 120 PSI compressed air. The road surface shall also be blown off at this time to clear it of any dirt and other debris. Cracks shall be sealed using a pressure filled wand from the botom up. They shall be slightly overfilled, and disc squeegeed to create a 'over band on the crack. Include any refilling and/or touching up of any previously filled open or failed cracks. Heat lance shall be used to ensure cracks are free of moisture prior to sealing. Specification for Flex Patching Flex patching shall consist of repairing cupped cracks to seal out water and improve ride quality. Sealant fortified with polyester fibers shall be applied per manufacturer's specifications. Cover aggregate shall be Fractured Class A stone with 100 % passing a ' sieve, 95-100% passing a i>>' sieve and be pre costed with 1% 120-150 asphalt cement. Surface and cracks to be treated shall be cleaned with approved cleaning equipment. Areas of repair shall be free of all foreign material, vegetation, and moisture. Heat lance shall be used to ensure cracks are free of moisture prior to sealing. Cracks to be flex patched must use a minimum ' wide squeegee.
