***Apparent low bidder from previous bid opening - Vermont window Restoration at $129,347 City Hall Window Restoration Scope of Work: The City of Claremont is seeking proposals for the Restoration/Rehabilitation of the City Hall/Opera House Windows in a nationally registered historic building. The CITY reserves the right:
to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part and to accept other than the lowest
price proposal;
to waive any technical defect, qualification, omission, informality, or irregularity in any
proposal received;
to amend, modify, or withdraw this Request for Proposal;
to require supplemental statements or information from a CONTRACTOR;
to extend the deadline for responses to this Request for Proposal
to waive or correct any irregularities in proposals received
The City of Claremont is seeking proposals for the Restoration/Rehabilitation of the City
Hall/Opera House Windows in a nationally registered historic building.
Windows:Restoration/Rehabilitation of up to 68 of the Exterior Windows at the City
Hall/Opera House
o All components of the windows for example but not limited to; Window
Frame, Int. Sash, Ext. Sash, Ext. Trim, Int. Casing, Window Sill,
Hardware, Glass, Glazing, Paint, Sealant, and fixing the operability.
o See inventory of windows attached.
All persons directly involved in the Project are familiar with the Secretary's Standards,
and that all work will be carried out in accordance with the Secretary's Standards,
informed by the following Preservation Briefs:
o Brief 9: The Repair of Historic Wooden Windows
o Brief 33: The Preservation and Repair of Historic Stained and Leaded Glass
o Brief 47: Maintaining the Exterior of Small and Medium Size Historic
Buildings
