Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hindman, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Work is generally to include debris cleanout of circular overflow tank, plant electrical panel repair, ultraviolet disinfection equipment repair, sludge drying beds underdrains replacement, effluent sampler refrigerator replacement and effluent flow monitor replacement. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations: the City of Hindman, 10 Professor Clarke Circle, Hindman, KY 41822 on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am - 4 pm; and at the office of the Engineer, Nesbitt Engineering, Inc., 227 N. Upper St., Lexington, KY 40507, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am- 4 pm. Questions regarding this project must be received by Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. (mwilmoth@neiky.com) in writing no later than 5:00 pm on 09/26/2023 Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Non segregated facilities order 32FR 7439, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This project will follow, and bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 (EEO) as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractors/subcontractors will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, (affirmative action), to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goal set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. This contract is NOT subject to federal nor state wage rates. This project is funded with a Cleaner Water Program Grant and local funds This project will NOT be subject to DOW Procurement Guidance including the American Iron & Steel and Davis-Bacon Act..
