Sealed Bids will be received by the Borough of Carteret for: 2023/2024 Snow Plowing & Removal Services The snow removal contract work includes the furnishing of all labor, supplies and snow plow equipment to provide snow plowing & removal services within the Borough of Carteret. The Contractor is required to submit a proposal for a consecutive twelve (12) month period. The basis of award for this contract shall be for the total price bid in the Proposal for the twelve (12) month period. The Borough of Carteret reserves the option to extend the contract for an additional two (2) one year extension at its sole discretion. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Experience. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Borough reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-34, bidders must submit proof of business registration with the bid proposal in the form of a copy of their Business Registration Certificate as issued by the New Jersey Division of Revenue. No firm may be issued a contract unless it complies with the affirmative action provisions N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Contractors must adhere to all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended, the United States Occupational Safety, the Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended and the Americas With Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret reserves the right to reject any or all bids as permitted by statute if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the Borough to do so.
