Site work for a water / sewer project in Chino, California. Completed plans call for site work for a 57,000-square-foot water / sewer project.

**As of November 22, 2023, project was awarded to Jeremy Harris Construction, Inc but awarded amount is not available.** The Agency owns and manages a Desilting Basin and Detention Basin along Magnolia Channel, a local seasonal waterway/drainage course. The channel is typically dry and only flows during and just after rain events. After several years of silt/sediment accumulation, the Desilting Basin is now full of material that must be removed. The Magnolia Channel Desilting Basin and Detention Basin are located southeast of IEUA's Regional Water Recycling Plant No. 5 (aka RP-5) on Kimball Avenue and west of Mountain Avenue. The site includes a concrete-lined 'Desilting Basin' which has a piped connection and a concrete berm/spillway on its south side that allows water to continue to flow into a large earth-bottom 'Detention Basin'. After these two basins fill to a particular depth, water is released over a low concrete spillway on the east side of the Desilting Basin back into Magnolia Channel. Depending on the severity of rainstorms, various quantities of silt and sand accumulate in each basin. The Desilting Basin is approximately 16,000 square feet and currently contains approximately 4 feet (~2,370 cubic yards) of deposited silt material. The Detention Basin, measuring approximately 57,000 square feet, currently contains an approximately 3.5-foot layer (7,400 cubic yards) of deposited material. The project budget will not allow for the complete removal of the silt material from both basins. The silt material can be a mixture of silt, clay, sand, gravel and other debris carried by stormwater. The Agency aims to remove all silt material from the Desilting Basin and as much material from the Detention Basin as the Agency's budget allows. The final volume to be removed will be based on the proposal costs. The Agency is requesting a proposal to: A) remove all silt material (estimated 2,370 cubic yards) and some small amounts of debris (miscellaneous trash and vegetative material) from the Desilting Basin, down to the concrete bottom; and B) per unit cost for removing any additional silt material from the Desilting Basin and Detention Basin. The contractor shall become owner of all removed silt material and debris and will be responsible for loading, hauling, and disposing of the material off-site.
