The work shall consist of furnishing and constructing fences and gates in accordance with the specifications for the completion of the 2024 On-Call Fencing Contract within the Lafayette City-Parish on an on call, as needed basis. This is considered a turnkey job as the structure(s) must be removed, then constructed for acceptance in accordance with these specifications. Work shall be completed within 10 working days from issuance of Notice to Proceed for each task order unless otherwise agreed upon by Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Contractor. The duration of the contract will be 1 year from contract finalization, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one year period Bidders or firms submitting bids in the amount of $50,000.00 or more shall certify that they are licensed contractors under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and show their license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which their bid is enclosed. Bidders shall be licensed for the classification of Building Construction or Highway, Street and Bridge Construction. Bids in the amounts specified above which have not bid in accordance with the requirements, shall be rejected and shall not be read. To that end, all bidders and suppliers are encouraged to utilize DBEs business enterprises in the purchase or subcontracting of materials, supplies, services and labor and material in which disadvantaged businesses are available.
