Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Highland Park, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Highland Park is in need of professional services from a qualified engineering firm to provide Phase I Engineering Services for the pedestrian bridge replacement project over US 41. At the City's discretion and upon approval from IDOT the selected firm for Phase I Engineering may also complete Phase II Engineering and Phase III Engineering. As of February 7, 2025, per owner, a design team has been identified. No general contractor at this time. They anticipated bidding in late 2026. This project is federally funded. They are in Phase 1 Engineering. Construction is anticipated for late 2026 or 2027.
