Sealed bids will be received for the following services: maintenance and repair of heating and cooling systems for the Township of Aberdeen for one year with an optional renewal for a second year. The bidder shall hold the appropriate licenses, certifications, or other professional credentials required by appropriate federal, state and local laws to perform these services. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. If awarded the contract, all companies/firms shall be required to comply with the requirements. Bidders are also required to comply with applicable statutory requirements set forth in the Contract Documents including the requirements of the Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.; and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101 et seq.). Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 10% of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000, made payable to the Township of Aberdeen. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Surety Bond, in statutory form, in the full amount of the contract. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name and address and the designation of the services bid prominently noted on the outside of the envelope. The Township of Aberdeen reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to increase or decrease quantities to be purchased, or to waive any informalities in the bids and accompanying documents received, all in accordance with applicable law. Bidders are required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development at the time bids are received pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.51. Bidders are also required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, at the time bids are received pursuant to the Business Registration Act, N.J.S.A.52:32-44.
